Dad's Chili
This is my Dad's Michigan Chili recipe. He would always add diced banana peppers from our garden. It was pretty hot when he made it, as we never watered the garden like we should. I adapted it a bit to make it milder, so the kids would actually eat it. We like to serve it over Fritos and topped with cheddar cheese.

Tips & Tricks
- This is a great recipe for busy days. Just toss in the crock pot and let it cook.
- To save time, fry the ground beef and veggies on the stovetop. Then add to the crock pot.
- Add more chili powder or another half packet of chili powder if it is not spicy enough.
- I don't drain the grease as it is actually good for you.
- You can easily freeze this in individual servings in tupperware. Just be sure to cover the surface of the chili with saran wrap to keep it from freezer burn.
