Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. This has been tweaked over the years to make a soft chewy cookie with less sugar added.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup malted milk
- 2 egg
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract)
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups Chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup nuts (pecans, walnuts, etc. (optional)
- 1/4 cup cocoa (optional)
- 1 tsp of Cinnamon (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a mixing bowl, mix together both sugars, butter until creamed.
- Add malted milk, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix until combined.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir until combined
- Add Chocolate Chips and stir together.
- Add any other addins now.
- Drop by 1 inch tablespoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges start to look brown.
- - Center will still look undone, as it cools it collapses and creates a chewy cookie.
- Slide parchment sheet with cookies onto a cooling rack.
Tips & Tricks
- Do not over bake as this will make them hard.
- Can substitute m&m's for the chocolate chips
- When using optional or add-ins make sure to bake one cookie as a trial to make sure the cookie bakes properly.
